Growing Mary’s gold is joyful way of expressing Christian faith.
My soul magnifies the Lord:
Marigolds are a living symbol and a celebration of God’s creative power.
From a small seed, numerous blooms emerge.
My Spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior:
Their beauty reminds us to be joyful.
Marigolds can display their cheerful blooms for up to six months!
For he has regarded the lowliness of his handmaiden:
Marigold’s are small, humble flowers, often overlooked. But not by God.
For behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
Their very name – Mary’s Gold — does honor to the Virgin Mary.
For he that is mighty hath magnified me and holy is his Name.
And when they are grown with a special purpose, Mary’s gold becomes a symbol of Christian faith.
Blessed are you amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Mary’s gold is unusually phototropic, which means that its flowers follow the sun across the sky. Like Mary herself, whose glory is her faith in her Son.
A sword shall pierce through your own soul.
When the dew collects in the golden crown of Mary’s gold, the flowers can appear to be weeping.
